Sirloin Beef Roast

Everyone loves a savoury beef roast, made from AAA-grade Ontario beef. Beef roasts are best prepared using slow moist-heat cooking methods, such as braising, to tenderize the meat and ensure it stays moist in the oven.

Ingredients: Beef, product of Ontario. AAA-grade. Aged minimum 45 days.

Each case includes: 1 sirloin beef roast, 3-4 lb each.  Our sirloin beef roasts are vacuum-packed.

Cooking Instructions

Defrost overnight in the refrigerator. Keep the packaging sealed while defrosting.

To cook in the oven: Season your roast and place it in a shallow roasting pan. Sear it in the oven first to seal in the juices and flavour. Place your roast, uncovered, in the oven, preheated to 230°C (450°F) for 10 minutes. Then lower the heat to 140°C (275°F) and cook uncovered to desired doneness. Remove from the oven when the internal temperature is 3°C (5°F) before the final temperature, as your roast will continue to cook while resting outside of the oven.

Internal temperatures: medium-rare: 63°C (145°F); medium: 71°C (160°F); well-done: 77°C (170°F).
